Hi Samantha, As discussed briefly as I departed Lumley last week, I wanted to express my thanks for such a fantastic event. The venue was absolutely wonderful, and everything from the rooms to the staff to the food were first class. The staff really made a difference to our event, and I have received many emails/comments regarding the service we received. I do hope we will be back next year and will keep in touch. I have recently got back from attending a conference and staying at your hotel and had to email to say what a fantastic stay it was! The room I stayed in was great, all the mod cons with the quirk of the Elizabethan style with the addition of being clean and tidy after the cleaners had been. The room was a little cold for me, so went to reception and within 10 minutes was provided with a heater, fantastic service, and incredibly helpful even when I locked myself out and wanted to find out what was being served for dinner! Big smiles and always friendly!
The meals and service were great with again all the staff being pleasant and helpful as well as some lovely food! The banquet was a great evening with the entertainment second to none creating a great atmosphere, and the novelty of the bibs and themed food made such a difference. As for the breakfast, that will be missed tomorrow morning! It was an excellent selection and again service, with me still wanting to find out how the chef made his scrambled eggs;so yummy! Not forgetting the big smiles on the staffs face even though it was far too early for everyone!
Overall an enjoyable stay with all staff members going up and beyond in, exceeding expectations. The room was fabulous I was sad to leave and certainly recommend to anyone! Many thanks – Laura Brown, 25th January 2013

FIRST CLASS SERVICE AND HOSPITALITY…
Hello Nancy, On behalf of the management and staff, we would like to thank you and all the staff who looked after us so well last Thursday 15th November 2012.
The service and hospitality we received throughout the day was first class and this was carried on throughout the dinner and the rest of the evening.
We were particularly impressed with the way the kitchen took the list of choices for each diner and the waiters managed to give everyone their correct choices without a problem!
