Dating back to the 14th century, Lumley Castle is an exquisite wedding venue to hold your fairytale day for a civil wedding ceremony and wedding reception in the picturesque backdrop of our castle as it dominates the skyline of County Durham.
Former home to Sir Ralph Lumley and his family, our majestic castle in the north east of England has seen conspiracy and historic figures of the UK have been arrested.
Lumley Castle provides a romantic location for couples to celebrate their wedding day with friends and family without travelling outside the UK for a fairytale castle wedding. Our castle provides unique accommodation all in the same venue as your wedding.
A wedding at Lumley Castle can cater for up to 80 guests for civil weddings and our state rooms can hold up to 132 guests for a wedding reception. We can also cater for more intimate castle weddings with special packages available for between 10 and 30 guests.
