Dear Francesca

I would like to send my thanks for such a wondeful wedding day my daughter Lisa and her husband Peter had at Lumley Castle.

We enjoyed our visits to Lumley Castle to plan and organise the day and were very impressed on the day before the wedding when we met June Newbiggin (Events Supervisor). Going through everything with June gave Lisa and Peter the confidence to cope with the day and enjoy it to the full.

The wedding ceremony was well organised and very emotional; a special time for family and friends who said it was the best civil ceremony they had been to!

Please thank the staff for dressing the room and tables for the wedding breakfast; it looked very impressive and we're looking forward to seeing the photographs. Pass our thanks to the chef for the excellent food which lived up to our expectations.

I would like to send special thanks to June for all her help and support on the day, making sure all went to plan leaving Lisa and Peter, family and friends to enjoy such a special occasion.

Mr & Mrs John Hall would like to thank everyone at Lumley Castle for making the wedding day of their daughter Laura to Andrew Carroll a very special day. To the chef thank you the food was fabulous, especially the soup.

A special thank you to June the Events Supervisor, nothing was too much trouble for her, she made sure everything ran smoothly and that everyones needs were catered for, especially those of baby Sianand the elderly lady in the wheelchair.

Hi,

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every person who was involved in our wedding day. I'd particularly like to thank Louise and Audrey for looking after us so well on the day and making sure everything went to plan. We have had lots of compliments on the food and the service all the guests received. There were a lot of people who had never been to the castle before who I know will definately be coming back.

We had a fabulous day and there are so many aspects that we will remember and cherish forever.

We have finally come back down to earth and wanted to say a big thank you to all at Lumley Castle!

The day was fantastic and the castle made it so magical. The candles, fairy lights, I felt like a princess. Keith was very professional and made us feel totally confident that all would run smoothly and it did!

Audrey was fantastic; bless her waiting for us in the cold. She really added to the whole experience and was so kind and helpful! Everyone loved her!!!!

We would like to offer you, the management and all Lumley Castle staff our most sincere thanks for such a wonderful wedding reception. Right from our first engagement with you through to the event itslef and since you have accommodated all our needs in such a professional and considerate manner. It is clear that you have a wealth of experience in this area and at times seamlessly skipped over issues that we might have otherwise have thought difficult and problematic. It is without doubt that our decision to hold the reception at Lumely Castle made our preparation far less stressful as a result of the competency of the Hotel's staff.

You have a truly amazing place at Lumley Castle and we had the most incredible day. Our guests were texting us as they arrived to say how wondderful it was. The weather was not essential, but thankfully the sun was out and we were able to enjoy our drinksreception in the courtyard, which in hindsight made it that little better bit better. Matthew on the guitar (who works in the restaurant at night) was certainly a hit with our family and friends as were the drinks and canapes.

It was evident how much work had gone into preparing the reception room as it was in every way as good, if not better, than we could have wished for or expected. Thereafter, the food was delicious - our thanks to the chefs - and the wine flowed; a magical day that I am sure will feature in conversations for some time yet. Please pass on our special thanks to those working on the day, in particular Louise and Keith.

We have been inundated by letters and telephone calls from our guests expressing their thanks for the day and none go without comment on Lumley Castle. One, who is in the midst of preparing for her daughters wedding, even said that she would be content if their day was half as good as ours. We know that your own day is always the best, but we do truly believe we have not been to a better wedding. Much of this good feeling is attributed to Lumley Castle and the service we received.

There is so much to be thankful for that made our wedding day truly fantastic. A smile will always appear at the mention of our wedding, not just because of its significance in our lives but also by the fond memories of the day. We are extremely grateful to you and Lumley Castle, thank you.

We both want to say a huge thank you for helping us to have an amazing wedding day! It was perfect and we loved every minute of it. Allison was fantastic and all of our guests loved Audrey. A huge thank you for making our day the best of our lives. I couldn't have imagined that it would have been as fabulous as it was. Everything from the tables, to the meal, to the way the whole day flowed seamlessly, was perfect.

Everyone was buzzing and haven't stopped talking and phoning about all the little details that made the day brilliant.

You did a fabulous job of the terrace and steps, I was really delighted that we got to use them as planned - thanks for that extra effort.
