Lumley Castle are looking for a Commis Chef to join our already impressive team.
We are looking for someone who will have the patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role. The right person to assist in uplifting the dining experience to all our guests.
If you are able to perform well in fast-paced environments, we’d like to meet you. To be successful, You should also be able to effectively communicate with the team. You will be required to work in shifts, weekends and holidays.
Key benefits include enhanced annual leave, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off, full uniform and ongoing development. This position will include shifts working Saturday and Sunday’s required to support the hotel.
As one of the team you will be passionate about your work and able to work under pressure, capable of running your own section, able to demonstrate consistent results with good attention to detail, a strong team player with a bright personality.
1. Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
2. Helping the chef to develop new dishes and menus
3. Ensuring you and the team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
4. Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
