The King James Suite is a remarkable bedchamber. Formerly the Chapel of the Castle, it boasts a magnificent 20ft high four-poster bed, its own reception room and Jacuzzi bath with views over the surrounding parkland. A true fairytale experience.
Bishop Suite
The Bishops Suite is a beautifully individually styled and spacious bedroom that comes with its own separate lounge and two bathrooms. Located on the second floor in the castle makes this room ideally located and central to all residential areas. Named after the historic Bishops of Durham this suite enjoys stunning southeast views over rolling parkland.
Queen Anne Suite
The Queen Anne Suite has recently been renovated; combining two rooms into one. This Suite now boasts an additional spacious lounge with stunning features such as a fourposter bed, roll-top bath and additional shower and wash area. This suite has views across the woodlands and is known to be the most ghostly within the castle!
Castle State
These rooms are all individually designed, some feature four-poster beds, with special touches like hidden bathrooms, roll-top baths, or grand fireplaces.

Our cosy and comfortable courtyard bedrooms are located adjacent to the castle in the what was the original stable block.
